Our dog training classes are designed to be accessible to everyone — whether you have trained dogs before or this is your very first time. Step by step, we guide you through our class series. If you attend each weekly class and make time for the weekly homework, you’ll see fantastic results.
In Class 1, we introduce the foundation of obedience in an easy, beginner-friendly way. You’ll learn how to recognise and understand your dog’s stage of development, how to handle common problem behaviours, and how to teach your dog to come when called, stay with you, and practise their newly learned skills.
We also introduce some basic agility exercises in the Elementary Class. If you and your dog enjoy these energetic and exciting activities, we encourage you to take part in our agility training. It’s all included in your training fee.
We focus on play, fun, and building a strong connection between you and your pup. Your dog is family, after all.
We focus on rewarding your dog for good behaviour, rather than punishing unwanted behaviour.
Some dogs are food-motivated, while others are a little fussier. Soft, chewy treats are often more exciting than hard, crunchy ones.
Consistency is incredibly important in training. Use the same words and the same tone each time you ask your dog to do something.
Training should be fun for both you and your dog. Keep it positive, and try mixing things up to keep your dog interested.
Remember to praise your dog for every improvement, no matter how small. Celebrating the little wins helps keep both you and your dog motivated.
When training becomes part of your daily routine, it’s much easier to fit in short, regular practice sessions.
